Eclipse is a pony who once served the Princesses as their greatest warrior and their most loyal guard,he truly believed they were goddesses sent from the heavens so when they offered him to the diamond dog King as a gift to keep peace between the ponies in the dogs he gladly accepted. years of torture at the hands of the diamond dogs had began to twist his ideals and his vision of peace through passive means had become a vision of peace through conquest, betraying his new master and sealing him away he had began his conquest using the vicious army of diamond dogs to conquer village after Village Kingdom after Kingdom until his army was stopped by the princesses he worshiped and there army, after losing the war he was sentence to execution and it was there on the cutting board that he felt truly betrayed by the princesses all he had done he did so that they could have the Peace they desired. he swore he would get his revenge on princesses for betraying him and with those final words his soul had become a perfect vessel for a demon. as he was executed the demon known as the black beast made his appearance promising him immortality at the cost of his soul his accepted the deal and after a couple of years he was resurrected as Dracula. after being resurrected Eclipse went into hiding slowly building in army to seek revenge, once the time was right in his army was large enough he attacked the princesses quickly made it to the castle where he confronted the princesses in combat, with his new powers he could have easily defeated them but he could not bear to end the lives he had watched over for so long taking this chance the princesses used the elements of harmony to destroy him and seal him inside his coffin deep inside his castle a couple of millenniums had passed and he was once again resurrected.

Eclipse is a novel gentleman: polite and courteous in all situations. being a caring master, he is extremely devoted to dusk and does whatever he can to assist and protect her. His demeanor, however, belies a savage side which is only seen during battle or when he is pushed to the brink of his anger. He uses a fighting style that, while awe-inspiring, is unbelievably brutal, utilizing slashing attacks and blows so powerful they look like they are intended to break the enemy's bones. Underneath his polite, courteous attitude, eclipse seems deeply sad and is envious of ponies, for they are blessed with the gift of death, while he himself is unable to die and must walk the Earth for eternity. He clearly regrets his decision to become an immortal monster, and has great respect for ponies who have the willpower to endure old age and death.
